Stackers Burger Cafe's Baked Fried Chicken

I was recently invited by a co-blogger to cover an event for the First-ever Baked Fried Chicken unveiled before the media by Stackers Burger Cafe. I must-agree that I never heard of anything like that product before, as someone who started her career in the food service industry. The very first adjective that crossed my mind was that this unique product invention looks so promising. Why not? With a populace that embrace and eat so much chicken no matter how it is cooked, this one will surely be marketable and make this cafe probably a bankable one too.
Stackers Burger Café, one of the country’s leading fast-casual food concept, tapped the right market and at the right time. Though competition is obviously steep, theirs is a type of product that cannot be easily copied. Sure we heard of baked chicken, fried chicken, barbecued chicken and even roasted also known as 'inasal', but boy never a Baked Fried Chicken, right?

But just before the official program started, bloggers and friends from media were treated to a special gastronomic treat as we were allowed to place an order of our chosen beverage and a side order while the soon-to-be-popular  baked fried chicken pieces are being prepared.

My seatmates considered to drink Iced Chocolate (PhP120), Stackers Iced Tea (PhP45) and Mango Tropical (PhP75)

I chose to have a glass of Coffee Jelly (PhP105) while my constant foodie partner preferred to have Iced Flat White Cold Coffee (PhP98). You know what I noticed which I am sure you did too? Their prices are not that bad. I remember the last time I encountered this place, I thought their menu list is an array or expensive dishes. I was so wrong.

Side Stacks such as this Chicken Nuggets (PhP120) was also being offered.

But wait there's more...Nachos (PhP130) or a basket of tortilla chips served with choice of creamy cheese or marinara sauce.

Look who's just around the corner? Hey, its a hunk...yes it is Victor Basa! I'm not sure if he's endorsing the brand or product or was just there to dine....with us. We're so fortunate to have met him :) Very good-natured man.

Mr. Bryan Tiu approved of the latest chicken recipe invention. He was founding owner of Teriyaki Boy before he sold 70% of the brand to the Pancake House Group in 2005. A prime restaurateur with several known food brands under his I-Foods, Inc., Tiu is at the helm of other homegrown brands like Tokyo Café, Peri-Peri Chicken and Kogi Bulgogi.

Do dare to compare, really! Try Stackers Baked Fried Chicken! It has 80% less oil than the regular fried chicken which is responsible to make it lighter and healthier! So this is really true!!!! There's a new chicken in town and it's nowhere near your typical fried chicken :)

Baked Fried Chicken (1pc) with rice/fries will cost you PhP95; Baked Fried Chicken (2pcs)  with rice/fries PhP155,  However, the Grab & Go Stack are priced as follows: 3 pcs - PhP205; 6 pcs - PhP395; 12 pcs - PhP778; Jumbo (15 pcs) - PhP970; and Party (30pcs) - PhP1900.

How what's my verdict? Chicken pieces were too flavorful (better than those available in the quick service restaurant) yet not that juicy. Also, better tasting even after subjecting to refrigeration. Obviously a unique chicken recipe that is not at par nor a clone of what are already available in the market. Looking forward to tasting this Stackers' new product again and again.

So are you in or out? Better try this out-of-the-ordinary chicken delight available in all Stackers Burger Café outlets located at Eastwood City, Resorts World and McKinley Hill Venice Piazza in Bonifacio Global City, Alabang Town Center and also at its newly opened branch at a city close to my heart, where else but at the Promenade Mall in Greenhills, San Juan City.
