BIGOLI: Then and NOW!

It was in the year 2009 when me and my best guy friend first dine at this casual Italian restaurant. Situated at the uppermost level of the mall where movie houses are, this place is such a great way to indulge into something different before the official start of the film. It is not by accident when we discovered this as some of my 'into relationship' friends already gave this a try and we were kinda overwhelmed with the idea of getting there too.

Pardon me for these blurry pictures as it was taken years back using only my camera phone. Uhmmm I hope they still all look appetizing ^_^

For lunch we had these sumptuous feast for two, which cost us around 500 pesos all-in (if my memory serves me right). The menu consisted of/ the following:

Fresh Garden Salad
Minestrone Soup
2 slices of White Pizza Bacon
Italian Chicken
Spaghetti Bolognese with pesto sticks

Everything feels alright from the ambiance BIGOLI had before, to the promos which clicked to patrons even to those who just accidentally learned the place to the menu and italian ice creams they are selling. That time there were only two branches yet  Actually, what was memorable that period was the  aftershock we experienced while having our lunch. Some nearby cities that time were struck by earthquake.

BACON STROMBOLI
This was given as a complimentary dish to us  by my ex-subordinate from a French bakery and restaurant  we worked before. She was one of the duty managers that time at Bigoli! We just get so lucky to be treated with this very flavorful and filling italian rolled pizza. According to her it is one their best-sellers.

BIGOLI was just a newbie in quick service restaurant  business that time, thus this customer feedback form was highly appreciated by them if you honestly give your comments and suggestions for a better dining experience. Of course we did fill up this form.

NOW, RISTORANTE BIGOLI is such a successful Italian-inspired casual dining restaurant that is well-know for its great Italian food and service. Since today is Heart's Day why don't you guys consider this place to celebrate this lovely occasion. Surely BIGOLI won't let you down with this Valentine's Affair Scrumptious Set Meal for Two. So what are you lovely couples are  waiting for? Head off to anywhere at their three branches in Trinoma, SM North EDSA and Eastwood! Happy Valentines Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yoshi YOSHINOYA!

A typical Japanese bowl of YOSHINOYA

These are just some of my yoshi experience at Yoshinoya.   I had tasted some of their best-sellers on different occasions but experienced dining only at their Megamall and Robinson's Galleria branches. Every bowl a delight. Every experience unique. And what had me everytime I pass by this fast-food type of Japanese restaurant is their unbeatable promo! Nowadays, I rarely see if they do have upcoming promo for their lucky patrons.

Two of the PROMOS that enticed me and my gastronomic buddies are: Yoshinoya's Buy 1 Take 1 Yakiniku and Yoshinoya's Buy 1 Take 1 BENTO Meal :) How sweet those deals are! Since I experienced these two great promotions and marketing strategies, I never hesitate to be always on a look out if one of these days these sweet deals will ever make another hit. That was year 2010 when I first-vere experience such a great pick. Hopefully, this 2012 they will cook up something interesting for pinoy foodies.

Jampacked dining area
What do you expect if there's an on-going crazy deal out there? Of course a lot of people appreciate the beauty of this kind of promo. Not only interesting but satisfying as well. More positive feedback will come their way every time they release something out of the ordinary for certified food enthusiast no matter what the demographics may be. Target market will always be targeted in no time.
Here  are some of the bowls, bento boxes and food that I tried before with my bestfriends in life out of the promotions they had. One word to describe all of these. . . SUPERB!

When it is BENTO it is always complete. Made possible because of the Pork Tonkatsu with steamed rice sided with mixed vegetables, quail eggs and fried tofu. I just don't know what do they call the black sesame seeds on top of steamed rice. All I know is that those are not poppy seeds. It is pure black in color assuming the shape of sesame seeds.

However, these bowls of Mandarin Orange ice cream were never part of their promo (hoping that someday it will be). . .These yummy unique ice cream scoops were ordered by my dearest bestfriend as an after meal treat. It was surprisingly delicious. In less than 50 pesos this can be considered as a delectable dessert.

BEEF YAKINIKU BOWLS

Order these two for the price of ONE! Sweet! Selling price is only at Php115. How good is that? VERY GOOD!!!! They were prepared in a manner that it will really not just satisfy you and your partner, but to teach you how to crave for more. Even without a drink to couple the bowl, this deal is super unbeatable. Any contenders? One bowl is big enough to burp you. Every bowl was specially made even if they are in the middle of peak hours. Only made available starting 6 in the evening onwards (until the mall closes). You can easily tell that the place is offering Japanese cuisine based on its layout and decors. Spacious dining area with colorfully painted walls that is so much like their Japanese bowls. Wooden floors, chairs, tables, train seating and big white lanters that illuminate the place is what made it extra cool and unique.
Wanna enjoy the same goodness if and only if they'll repeat this kind of thing. Wishing it to be sooner than expected! I', sure you couldn't agree more. Konichiwa!

Wait there's more! Should you guys looking for an extraordinary meal to treat your Valentine this February without hurting much of your pocket, why not avail of this TREAT only from the  World's BEST selling BEEF BOWL.  Promo runs starting tomorrow.. .from February 13-17, 2012. Happy HEARTS DAY! ^_^

Crown Prince Seafood Restaurant in Binondo

Crown Prince Seafood Restaurant in BinondoBinondo is such a known place here in Metro Manila for it has landmarks that very well define the old city of Manila. It was primarily populated with Chinese which were the reason behind Chinatown's success and numerous restaurants that withstand so many events in Philippine history. Binondo is proudly claimed to be the where the oldest Chinatown is. Not far from here is this seafood restaurant in Escolta Street which me and two of my friends paid a visit last year. I actually persuaded them one afternoon to join me as we make our way to one of the oldest streets in Manila. What made me invite them is because I have on hand some printed vouchers from http://www.salamat.ph/ that time which I would like to use instantly. I want to be with them honest-to-goodness. But before heading to the said restaurant we first landed on a camera shop just around the corner to canvass DSLR essentials for my guy friend. We made our way from Quiapo church to Escolta by means of a tedious footwork.

Kim N' Chi

My friend's cute studio type pad in GA Towers is just some footworks  away from our concluded dinner place. It was actually situated across the building where she lives.  Robinson's Pioneer Mall is what I'm talking about. At the Cinema level of the said mall we went curious on a Korean-inspired cuisine at the center aisle.  KIM n' CHI  is the name. In order to find answer to our curiosity  we instantly queue and ordered from their menu getting the best seller item possible.
BEEF BULGOGI OMURICE
SOUP OF THE DAY
It was my first time to eat Omurice some 2 years ago and that happened here at KIM n' CHI
Consisted with an omelette with fried rice inside and topped with ketchup and mayonnaise.
My order came from the best-selling items so I was expecting it to be really tasty and filling. My expectation was enough. Try this dish if you can. I actually had a hard time finishing the whole plate because to me it is like good for sharing already. We had house soup to warm our stomach :)
