Caffe Bene conquers the Philippines

Caffe Bene conquers the Philippines
Caffe Bene is the newest and the trendiest cafe here in the metro nowadays. I heard and read a lot of raves about this place way before I got an invite for the coffee cupping session held last month. It boasts its medium roast coffee and various menu items that are drool-worthy. Actually, a gelato place as well with a European feel and  prominent Korean touches. Eastwood is accessible to me so and I cannot contain my happiness that this fastest growing coffee shop chain in Korea finally paved its way here in our country, in a location  that is quite convenient for me and for my coffee addict girl friend working at one of the companies in E-commerce Plaza (the tall building in front of Caffe Bene).

For everybody's knowledge, bene means good or well. Say for instance the words benefactor, benefit or benevolence. Caffe Bene's very first store was established in April 2008 in Eastern Seoul, Korea. Since then  it has grown to over 900 stores making it really popular and trending. As of press time it has proven its brand and existed internationally such as in New York, California, Dallas, Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian and now in Manila.

Who would not instantly fall in love in a coffee shop as captivating and classy as this one? A perfect venue for contemplating, me time, doing your reports, blogging, reading and studying. Enough to take your breath away. I love that it has high ceiling, spacious dining area, comfortable chairs and couches and dazzling ornaments like the huge clock hoisted on the wall. The place assures you that you get connected to your social media friends because wifi is free and fast.

It operates smoothly because it has enough manpower requirements so it assures you of timely delivery of your ordered items. Lately, got addicted to going to Eastwood because of this coffee shop. Sorry, but I really cannot contain myself. I guess I found my true and 'bene' love!

It is good to note that the overall cleanliness of this cafe is impressive. from the floors, to tables and chairs and up to the wash room. Well-lit and ventilated too!
It is also good to note that the friendly, warm and cozy ambiance that the place posses make it truly incredible and a gem in its own right! So much with the brand and homey interior, it is about time to judge the food. These are the items served during the event I attended which I bet are Caffe Bene's best sellers. Dig in!

Blueberry Cream Cheese

Blueberry Cream Cheese is one of the delicious variants of Liège Waffle with Toppings. Liège Waffles are made only upon ordering to ensure that customers get the exact same fresh waffles as served in the city of Liège, Belgium. This one is so mouthwatering that a serving is not enough. True enough that their waffles are freshly cooked. Lightly browned, crispy on the outside but superbly soft inside. Yummmmmm!!!

Garlic & Cheese Honey Bread

Garlic & Cheese Honey Bread looks so divine. As  a matter of fact it was such an awesome treat that is so perfect for sharing. See how think the toast or honey bread is? I surmise that's about 2.5-3 inches! You'll insanely get ecstatic at first sight and more so at first bite! The garlic and cheese combination spelled some kind of a magic for my taste buds to handle. Savoury, really really good and filling snack. And oh the melted cheese makes it comely and drool forming.

Caramel Banana Cream also belongs to the Liège Waffle with Toppings corner. A nice surprise for a sweet tooth. Anyone who would you like to treat a liege as sweet as this undoubtedly deserves a special treatment or attention. Just a right couple to your medium roast coffee.

Strawberry Bingsu

Strawberry Bingsu became the food or should I say dessert of the evening. Many showed interest the moment this landed on their table. A bunch of photo shots came in for an item as elusive as this one. I must say that this is a kind of food that has the capacity to lure you. This bingsu is a certified attention grabber!  This is in fact as iced parfait  and a fancy substitute for ice cream, made with layers of flavored shaved ice, strawberry syrup and topped with generous portion of red bean and big scoop of strawberry gelato. Hence, this has lesser calories and a good way to finish off your meal. Very timely for summer. It has two sizes and the photo above is the biggest one. Enough to satisfy two starving persons to three peckish individuals. Other variants are Red Bean Bingsu and Coffee Bingsu.
