I Heart LE COEUR de FRANCE

I Heart LE COEUR de FRANCE
What can you say about the mural?
Did you know that Le Coeur literraly means 'The Heart'?
Does  Le Coeur de France exactly mean The Heart of France
Way before The French Baker and Delifrance came to my knowledge, it was Le Coeur de France that first stole my heart when it comes to French and artisan gourmet pastries and breads. How inspiring that a small bakery turned cafe as theirs could provide wide array of breads that are truly nice to behold and eaten fantastically! Not to mention their very affordable and enticing  Buy1 Take 1 promo which runs daily. Right after hitting the gym one evening of 2011 with a close friend,  I instantaneously took her to this place situated at the 3rd floor level of Robinson's Galleria. A couple of steps away the aroma of fine dishes and freshly baked breads hit our nose big time! This of course frantically moved us  to eat our precious quick early evening snacks there which turned out to be a light dinner.

I Heart LE COEUR de FRANCE
The counter area.
This area where most transactions happen was clutter-free. Everything seems to be in order which everybody with an eye for detail love. I did not notice even a slight of unsightly objects which are crucial to food business. Moreover, staffs are well-groomed and good looking too! =)

Little Asia on a Good Friday

Hard-bound menu folder of Little Asia. Inside you'll see mixture of cuisines across Asia so it is aptly called
Symphony of Flavors.
It was Good Friday of 2011 when Jenney, Jeff, Arnel and I went to have our festive dinner here at Little Asia after paying our last respects to our batchmate's grandmother at La Funeraria Paz in Quezon City. Jenney, a dear friend of ours drove us around Timog and Tomas Morato to look for a restaurant to cater our hungry choosy stomachs. We opted to end the day on a good gastronomic note to compensate for the dietary restrictions brought about by the Holy Week. With just a handful of restaurants and cafes opened in Quezon City that night we finally hit LITTLE ASIA.  It was my second time to be dining at this restaurant. My first time was at their Greenhills branch in San Juan where we held our college barkada get together.
I love the colorful design of the dome above us. The painter and designer must have a god taste.

The place was unexpectedly crowded. There were a lot of guest that evening - maybe because few dining choices were left opened that particular day as most are observing the season of lent. I personally like their branch in QC because of the vibrant color it brings to the dining area. It was like red is all over the house flooding the walls and ceilings. I so like the color as it emanates fierceness, intensity and prosperity.

We were seated on a long table where an air conditioning unit is nearby. Naturally, I asked one of the food servers to adjust the setting as I felt too chilly. I was disappointed when he told the group that it can't be adjusted. I knew for a fact that it can be adjusted as we do have the same ACU at work. The shivering me told him point blank but genially and he was obligated to adjust it. See! I was correct :)

AZUCAR Boulangerie & Patisserie you are so SWEET!

AZUCAR Boulangerie & Patisserie
Azucar Boulangerie & Patisserie facade
Azucar is evidently of Spanish origin which means sugar. Boulangerie and Patisserie, on the other hand means bakery, bread and cake shop. We know what this cafe or shop tells. It tells us that it is sweet to be in here. There is no harm in trying so we tried dealing with this place with all our might ^_^

AZUCAR Boulangerie & Patisserie
Past 11 AM of March 07, Wednesday, along with two of the beautiful people behind Big Deals we went to this newest cafe in San Juan City. It was my very first time to encounter this place in person and that day I was allowed to eat anything and taste test as it is within the promo mechanics....for FREE! And meet the hunk..I mean the part-owner of this Boulangerie and Patisserie.  I was so flabbergasted! It  was actually a mixed emotion of excitement and fear for I might go beyond limits of what I was doing that day. Over a few weeks back as I have stated in my previous blog post, I bought vouchers of Azucar's current deal from no other than Big Deals :)

BIG DEALS RACKS!!!

                              BIG DEALS BIG DISCOUNTS!
Wednesday of last week, March 7,
I was with two of the most beautiful people I met lately. Actually I was feeling uneasy and nervous on how would our meet-up turn out. Of course I would love it to be on a positive note as I am not just meeting up with an acquaintance but to tell you frankly, two of the very important people behind the booming group buying site here in the Philippines. Nothing else but BIG DEALS

Oh yes! I was feeling big time as it is my pleasure to be invited by them on a lunch date. I really did not    expect  it this far. So thoughtful of them, promise!

I know you are so curious of our meeting place. Originally it was suppose to be in a cafe named Azucar, but was curtailed as they said I need to be full as our meeting time falls on a brunch time. I had no choice of course but to deal with it because all I know they are way too biggie. They are BIG DEALS, right?! :)) haha! Therefore, we had it at Racks in Greenhills San Juan instead before actually getting at Azucar. A place which is owned and managed by their dear friend.

Meet Ms. Sherill Lynn and Ms. Thea :)
Aren't they gorgeous? Who would have thought that these ladies are the very people behind the soon to be one of the very popular group buying sites in the country. Gosh! Prima facie I was daunted by their beauty but for sure they are good souls. They are sisters by the way.  Not only did they make me feel at home while having our lunch meeting, but uplifted my soul with their faith in people especially in Him. I just know I am bound to meet the two of you ^_^
