MERALCO Introduces MeralcO Virtual Engine (MOVE) App Suite

Meralco, a renowned Employer of the Year in People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) 49th Annual Conference, recently unveiled  MeralcO Virtual Engine (MOVE), a free app suite designed for Filipinos consisting of six applications that provide continuing throughout the entire 24 hours of the day to the electric company’s services through smart phones or tablets. It happened dinnertime in The Lighthouse, 14th Floor, Lopez Building, Meralco Compound, Ortigas, Pasig City.

 

Meralco wanted to offer this kind of assistance since most of its customers are often online where they spend much of their time day in and day out. The MOVE apps provide Meralco customers with different benefits to bring ease and convenience in managing their electricity concerns. And I truly believe that at least one member of the family should have this application which they can refer to from time to time.

It was  a night of fun and surprises because aside from the live acoustic singer and overflowing good food and drinks, 6 Samsung Galaxy Tabs were given to the lucky winners of their special game. Check the photo below and decipher what I mean. Through concerted efforts of a team of six, each one needs to fully understood an app that is designated for them in just five minutes. After which, a set of question was given for each individual to accomplish. The group with the highest score wins.

 So what are these apps?  They are actually divided into three categories, namely:

1.      Apps that offer location help

a.       Meralco Office Directory –You can find the nearest Meralco office in your area

b.      Bayad Center – Find out where you can conveniently pay your Meralco bill

2.      Apps for consumption control

a.       Meralco Appliance Calculator- Easily compute the amount of electricity an appliance consumes

b.      Bright Ideas – Learn better ways to use and save on electricity

3.      Apps that help in planning ahead

a.       Power Maintenance Schedule- Stay up to date on the power maintenance schedule in your area

b.      E-Meralco bill –View your latest bill even when you’re on the go

Now, you might want to have them in your smartphones or tablets and be informed.
