October 2, 2012. A day after the proclamation of the Administration's 2013 Senatorial Slate, I was again invited to cover an event along with some selected bloggers to witness the filing of Certificate of Candidacy of Mrs. Cynthia Villar for senator in Intramuros, Manila. On a cool and windy nine o'clock in the morning there was already large group of people so alive and noisy but in a pleasant way. That is how they are going to treat their forthcoming beloved Managing Director of Villar Foundation and former Congresswoman of Las Pinas City. Minutes later, everyone were caught in a heavy downpour that suddenly subside yet return quickly. The weather did not dishearten Mrs.Villars supporters, instead strengthen them and kept them solid.
At around 11AM, Villar family ultimately arrived minus the children Paolo and Camille. As usual, media men mobbed the controversial and influential family as they shake hands and thanked their supporters for coming along and strengthening the numbers despite intermittent heavy rains. As they walked all the way to the Palacio del Gobernador to commence the filing of Certificate of Candidacy, the said family accept the compliment given by their huge amount of fans and supporters graciously. Villar family's warm smile was genuine and very effective.
Nothing beats a festive and party-like welcome from the fan base of Mrs.Villar. Everybody in high spirits which marks positive aura. Surely this woman is recognized by many as an effective leader in social and civic concerns.
Mrs. Cynthia Villar of the Nacionalista Party finally filed her CoC for senator at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) main office in Intramuros, Manila. Beside her are Mr. Mark Villar and Senator Manny Villar, father and son are obviously very enthusiastic, strong and showed their wholehearted support to the woman they truly love and admire. On the same day, her son, Mark Villar, filed his CoC for congressman of the lone district of Las Pinas City.
Mr. Mark Villar, Senator Manny Villar and Mr. Willie Revillame giving their hundred percent support to the candidacy of 'Misis Hanapbuhay'. Long way to go yet moving forward to the road of success. Could this be another landslide victory for her like eleven years ago when she won as the Representative of Las Piñas? We will find out soon enough.
