I recently discovered a new and upbeat diner near my residence in San Juan City and it is called Red Buffalo Wings & Pizza. Yours truly was actually invited by OpenRice Philippines along with fellow food bloggers at this small yet attractive restaurant in my hometown that is just a stone's throw away from home. A type of American diner or a New York themed fast causal resto with a mixture of new and traditional American food styles, that is owned and operated by Ms Cheska Zamora herself. I asked her point-blank if she is in any way related to the incumbent Vice Mayor of San Juan City, Francis Zamora but she honestly answered me how she wished. So if ever you'll encountering her in the future, you already know the answer.
It has a cheerful ambiance that is very conducive for groups of people who enjoy hanging out late at night enjoying their set of comfort foods like burgers, pizzas, fries, pastas and milkshakes. So if you are from San Juan like me or anywhere near like Ortigas, Mandaluyong and New Manila, Quezon City and looking for certified true American meal, I must bet this is the right venue for you and your friends. No worries for the store schedule as it is open daily from 11AM until 12MN but closes at 2AM every Fridays and Saturdays. It has ample parking space as well. You cannot easily notice this restaurant as if you traverse Granada Street as McDonald's is the first thing that'll cross your eyes. It is actually located at the back part of Mc Donald's and my friend Yedy and I used the drive-thru to access the place easily.
This is the side view of the newest American diner in town. For the meantime, the management opted to run this very store first and hopefully soon they'll be opening another branch near you. So it is something we must watch out.
A view of the interior and dining area. It is roomy enough to cater huge number of guests. Tables and chairs are made of quality metal seats and more can be found at the al fresco area. At the left side of the resto are sleek cushioned sofa with colors that I truly love- a combination of red and black. Red Buffalo has its own comfort room and hand washing area that made it all the more convenient for quirky yet charming diners like me who just love being at ease.
Indoor Halloween decorations were so nice to look at and gave the place an instant charm and glow.
For those who want a little change in their dining style, these metal bar stools and table are up for grabs. I would want to experience the Western way of eating food but I must stick to my fellow friends and bloggers at the other side of the diner. By the way, wi-fi connection was fast and reliable so you can upload as much food photos and update your status about your latest dining experience in real time.
Just like any other American diners here in Metropolitan Manila, the restaurant set-up is a self service type so you have to queue and pay for your meals before actually indulging them. Above is a drink list for your perusal. I told you this place is so perfect for late night gimmick and barkada bonding.

Red Buffalo beverages are not just cool but colorful as well. It is good to note that they only have onse size for all their bevs which to me is something like 18 oz. drink. You may also indulge in other thirst-quenchers and equally satisfying drinks such as Floats, Milkshakes and Ice Creams.
Chili Cheese Fries PhP155
These are home-made fries paces in a red platter with paper lining that were smothered with cheddar cheese sauce, meaty red sauce, mayonnaise, beans and chili. I always consider this type as a complete meal themselves as it is already packed with carbohydrates, fats and protein. A platter is certainly good for sharing!
Hickory Baby Back Ribs PhP375
A half-slab baby back ribs drenched on extremely tasty hickory-bourbon sauce. Sided with home-made fries and fresh coleslaw. I almost forgot about the sidings as I concentrated a lot on the thoroughly drool-forming baby back ribs that were soaked in a kind of special sauce that no one could dare resist. I'm telling you, the smoky goodness is impossible to turn down. You might be needing a cup of plain steamed rice for this order apart from the original sidings.
Red Buffalo boasts about their flavorful Wings that are made fresh everytime you order! We had three different flavors or single orders (5 pieces per order- PhP165) that left us hungry for more. Who would decline the offer if everything that was served are considered Signature Flavors!

Are you game enough to finish a plate of hot, extra hot or suicidal in flavor chicken wings? If yes, then allow yourself to enjoy the pleasure.
Parmesan Garlic
I was definitely hooked at first bite. It was a sensational experience. The best chicken wing ever!!!!!!!!!!
Teriyaki
Sweet and savory at the same time. I want this too but I love the Parmesan Garlic better!
Forget not the plastic gloves! I preferred to eat these finger foods using my bare hands, but for those who would not want any mess, then gloves and tissue paper are accessible enough and placed in each table for the comfort of guests. I loved all those wings though I particularly liked the Parmesan Garlic because all the savory ingredients were like seeping through the meat. This variant is extremely pleasant for me that I promised to eat a serving of 10 pieces on my next visit. Just be sure to eat these flavorful wings while still warm and too tasty to devour. Best served with ice cold beer!
To me these chicken wings do not necessarily need dips as they are so rich and full
in taste already. Ranch and bleu cheese can be ordered as extra, hence
there's a need for you to pay additional charge. These dips come in 30grams, half pint and one pint.
Spicy Diablo PhP275
A spaghetti dish that serves 2 to 3 persons and made with fresh shrimps sauteed in a special blend of spicy tomato-cream sauce. Presentation looked truly appetizing but somehow lacking in taste for me not because it was not that spicy as the restaurant owner intentionally made it less spicy for us to handle the level of spiciness. Maybe it was a dash of black pepper and parmesan cheese that I was looking for in this dish. I believe it could create a fine pasta dish with its addition.
Chicken Alfredo PhP195
On the other hand, this pasta dish used firm pasta noodles that are perfect to the bite. Its creamy alfredo sauce topped with seasoned chicken fillet and fresh basil was such an ideal concoction. I suggest you add more parmesan cheese to bring out the goodness of this dish. All their pasta dishes are served on a paper box. Take note that more and more dining hubs nowadays are using less styrofoams and plastics on their offerings.
Vegetarian Pizza PhP335
This is a 12-inch thin crust classic pizza made only with the finest ingredients such as tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms, white onions. black olives and basil. Crust was thin enough and ingredients covered the entire pizza whole. Scrumptious and really affordable.
Red Buffalo's Special Pizza PhP395
Another 12-inch pizza but is a popular specialty pizza made with pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, ground beef, black olives, mushrooms, bell peppers and white onions. Yeah, it was a bit special and truly loaded with essential ingredients to make a good pizza. A glass or bottle of soda would suffice my two pizza slices.
Double Cheesy Bacon Burger PhP235
Imagine biting a two quarter pound beef patty served with an extra cheddar cheese then topped with bacon and mushroom. That must be outrageously fun and bold of you to do that! Burger patties were juicy, bacon crispy and cheese melted, these things relate to a champion burger. Should you wish to avail an extra order of home-made fries because you fall short of the serving portion, it will cost you PhP35 to make you happier and satisfy your potato cravings.
