Christmas Displays in Policarpio Street, Mandaluyong City

December 2010 when my family and I visited one of the famous streets in Mandaluyong especially during Christmas season, that street is known as Policarpio Street. It was everybody's first time to be there even if we just live nearby. We live in San Juan which is actually a jeepney ride or two from where the famed 150-meter gaudy Christmas street is. I'm pretty sure almost everydody have heard and watched of it being featured by every Christmas holiday. We parked at our own risk right at the entry point of the short street. We were kinda hopeful that we could just pass the street but it seemed impossible due to the thick and amazed crowd. Here are some of the shots I made using my humble Nokia 2700 classic camera phone.  Merry Christmas everyone! ^-^

The gate I liked! Simply adorned with white christmas lights outlining the famous Disney character  No other than Mickey Mouse!  Cool!

HOUSE OF SANTA
So many Santa Claus! Lovely! Some of the Santas here are very entertaining to watch as some giggle, sing and even dance but ain't going anywhere. I think this is one of my favorites among all the houses that partake on the yearly Christmas display.

This, on the other hand is such a big time house. Every inch of it was well-lighted with various colors of Christmas bulbs. Enchanting! How I wish I could have a house as beautiful as this someday. Just have to watch out of my electricity bill. Haha!

This is one Christmas destination you must not afford to miss. Of course there are plenty of places to see during this holiday but this one is different and free! Hopeful that next time around all of the houses at this well-renowned street could afford to take part on this rare chance to make tourist enjoy more. A family friend said that there's a night market at the end of the street and advice us to visit it as well. Unfortunately, we haven't witnessed any when we arrived. We have planned of having our snack there after exhausting ourselves with few strides from one house to another but there were no food stalls at all. Luckily. we found one man selling his freshly baked street pizza at the entry point where we parked. And we simply help ourselves.
