Have you ever experienced a spell cast over you? There's this wickedly good food establishment in Quezon City near ABS-CBN that has the capacity to place you under its power as if by magic. Yeah, you read it right! It is known as WICKED KITCHEN. It has been sitting there for more than two years I guess. I used to pass by this street in Mother Ignacia and it was just over a week ago that I finally proved how bewitching this establishment is. For those who are not familiar with the location, the landmark is Fitness First ABS-CBN and from there you can easily spot the said restaurant which right in front of it or beside 7 Eleven.
I thought wicked is synonymous to shockingly bad or scandalous. I was not that totally wrong because at the facade of the restaurant the management has clearly enumerated the other meaning of the said word. This I found truly educational and enlightening. Wicked is actually a slang word which means wonderful; awesome; splendid. masterful; cool. impressive; excellent; fine; superb; outstanding; terrific; fantastic; fabulous; brilliant.
The place is comparatively small. Dining area is at the second floor but the production area, hand washing area and comfort room are all located downstairs. Staff were very welcoming. The establishment provides strong wifi connection to keep you in touch with the social media world. From what I heard, this is a popular hang out place of local artists from two television giants in the country.
You have the option to comfortably sit at the air conditioned area of dining or be good at the veranda wherein you are allowed to puff a cigar as you please.

While most of my foodie companions that afternoon chose to have Lemonade which took the wait staff about 15 minutes or so to prepare as it is really made from scratch; I had an opportune time to please my dry throat with a Mango Juice. Glad that it has less ice which I requested and does not taste like artificial. Just good.

Its so nice to start the meal with fire! I mean something that would totally stimulate you to start off the feast, like these crunchy rolls of green chili, grilled chicken and melted cheese. They are fried to a crisp and then sided with tomato salsa to give it an added "OOMPH!"! Not too spicy for my taste buds to handle. Just an awesome appetizer.

Then came the salad which is a great mix of fresh lettuce, crunchy egg noodles, mandarin orange and grilled chicken that were drizzled with honey sesame vinaigrette. I can almost finish the plate. Dare me with a fine tasting salad and I'll surely finish everything.
Crunchy Bagoong Rice PhP167
Considered as one of the best-selling dish. Deep-fried crunchy liempo bits, sauteed in spicy bagoong and topped with green mango strips. Stimulating, refreshing and filling at the same time. Must-try also is the Mongolian Rice which I'll be ordering on my next visit.

Oh, this one is so great! A baked dish that is worth ordering for I find it a real comfort food. See those chunks of beef and mushrooms? They are all deliciously drenched in beer and gravy then topped with puff pastry. My appetite was teased by the aroma and savory flavor of meats and beer gravy.

It is good to point out that though this dish is basically fried, it did not give me the impression of being oily. As a matter of fact, the result is perfect golden brown that is crunchy in the outside yet meaty and soft inside. This is a beer-battered fish that is Aussie style! Served with a side of chunky fries and aioli. I was at the brink of ordering a cuo of steamed rice. For your information, malt vinegar is availabe upon request.
Now, here's the special and wicked part! Should you want to avail any of the incredibly wicked dessert items, kindly try to order in advance as they are baked-to-order but definitely worth every second you waited. Here's what my group deliciously sampled which are inspired by the Seven Capital Sins.

Pride, as we all know is is an exaggerated love for self,which makes us think and act as if were better than others. However, Wicked Kitchen describes it as a big chunk of Food for the Gods served ala Mode. Something that is temptingly sweet, surely lovable and not worth sharing. ^__-

Sloth is the excessive desire to avoid work and responsibility.
Wicked Kitchen concocted a dessert that will definitely make you sloth even for an hour or two. A chocolate molten lava cake served with a scoop of ice cream and whipped cream, how's this for a sweet ender? You might not want to go to school or work after ordering this.

Lust is an is uncontrolled desire for sexual pleasure. For sure you don't wanna do that but lusting over a great dessert will do. Say reaching foodgasm while tasting a chocolate dip which is known to be an aphrodisiac. Try their hot chocolate fondue with fresh fruits, marshmallows and tiny cakes. That's like worth food+orgasm!

Moreover, Gluttony is great desire for more foods and drinks! No wonder this dessert is aptly called as such. Serving sizes are all good for sharing.. Certainly, a certified Wicked Kitchen bestseller! Freshly baked giant chocolate chip cookie which is crusty outside but moist and chewy inside. Served with a huge luscious scoop of mantecado ice cream. Also available in Single (good for 2) and Supershare (good for 12) sizes. You decide- to gluttony or not to gluttony?!

And last but not the least, Envy. It is the discotentment and resentment over or desire for disadvantage possessions or attainments. You'd really be green with envy when you see someone eating this dessert. Imagine a super moist chocolate cake frosted with green mint chocolate sauce. Oh la la la this one is so tempting. My fave mint and chocolate all rolled into one.
Next visit, I won't forget to try their Greed and Wrath version just so to complete the Seven Capital Sins inspired dessert!
Above are just basic food temptations which you may or may not avoid. But, I highly suggest you go for this every once in a while just to satisfy your desire. After all, who wants to eat one's heart out, right?
