The month of March is popularly known as Fire Prevention Month here in the Philippines. This aims to increase public awareness on ways of preventing fires and most importantly saving lives. I am one of those who support this advocacy spearheaded by TxTFIRE Philippines, a non-profit foundation founded by Mr. Gerry Chua. This is the first time that the said foundation will hold its first TxTFire Run dubbed as
"Takbo Laban sa Sunog!"

How: Registration officially started last April 8, 2012 in all Eng Bee Tin Hopia stores in Metro Manila and Runners’ Circle in Aloha Hotel, Quirino Ave., Malate Manila. Forms can be downloaded here.
Registration Fee:
3K- PhP 300.00
5K- PhP 400
10K- PhP500
*Runners will be provided with singlet, shoe tag, race bib, route map, certificate and a loot bag upon finishing the race.

Newbie or professional runners? Join NOW!
Winners from different event category will be receiving medals and gift packs. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 runners' group and company with more than 25 entries. Special award will also be given to fire volunteer group with the biggest number of entries.

The 1st TxtFire Run: Takbo Laban Sa Sunog is being supported by SM Mall of Asia, San Francisco Motors, Vikings Jumbo Plastic, Freego Jeans, Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center, Universal Caltex, Roosevelt Aluminum, Puma, Runners Circle, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Pilipino Ngayon and Philippine Star.
