I Heart LE COEUR de FRANCE

I Heart LE COEUR de FRANCE
What can you say about the mural?
Did you know that Le Coeur literraly means 'The Heart'?
Does  Le Coeur de France exactly mean The Heart of France
Way before The French Baker and Delifrance came to my knowledge, it was Le Coeur de France that first stole my heart when it comes to French and artisan gourmet pastries and breads. How inspiring that a small bakery turned cafe as theirs could provide wide array of breads that are truly nice to behold and eaten fantastically! Not to mention their very affordable and enticing  Buy1 Take 1 promo which runs daily. Right after hitting the gym one evening of 2011 with a close friend,  I instantaneously took her to this place situated at the 3rd floor level of Robinson's Galleria. A couple of steps away the aroma of fine dishes and freshly baked breads hit our nose big time! This of course frantically moved us  to eat our precious quick early evening snacks there which turned out to be a light dinner.

The facade.

The counter area.
This area where most transactions happen was clutter-free. Everything seems to be in order which everybody with an eye for detail love. I did not notice even a slight of unsightly objects which are crucial to food business. Moreover, staffs are well-groomed and good looking too! =)

The dining area.
What's cool about their dining space is the relaxed atmosphere and warmth which is very inviting to its guests most especially transient ones. There were no walls nor glass panels but just an open space to feel the freedom while dining.

This is great for Lent. A must-try gourmet sandwiches!
It was my first time to eat at this branch with a friend. What I usually do is to buy their great breads to go most of the time in Shangri La or Gateway. At the facade we noticed their tarpaulin stating that rice bowls are available with a glass of iced tea included already. Much like a budget friendly meal needed to be judged by our starving stomachs. We didn't hesitate to try it out since we were hopeful that the said treats are healthy, delicious and in good portion. In no time we found ourselves with a different set of plate. Or should I say their mini version of healthy plates.

 Chicken and Mushroom Rice
This was my friend's choice. From the looks of it, it looks tempting and delish. The chicken was covered with what we thought as bechamel sauce like the ones used in carbonara. as per her judgement, the chicken was tender and filleted and therefore, no hassle in eating.

  Creamy Beef Strips
Trying to be different, this plate was my choice. Beef strips were tender but quite underportioned. Great that its beefy flavor compensates the grammage. It was really creamy but somehow lacks in taste. More improvements perhaps with the portioning of ingredients to achieve its hidden flavor.

Official Receipt
This only certifies that what we have eaten are worth it! We only need to shell out P99 each which comes with a drink already. Our 'dinner a la French was satisfying and their treat wholesome.

Downside: Their iced tea was served without ice on it but is still cold. We'd prefer to have it with ice cubes since we just came from a gym and we'd love to gobble up cold drinks aside from a glass of refreshing water.

Upside: The vegetables (baguio beans) that's in the rice bowl were uncut and cooked just right retaining    the natural  juice, flavor and small to medium size.
Pricing is truly affordable considering it is some sort of a self-service fine dining restaurant/cafe.

Just so you guys know, my first pick was Corned Beef Hash Rice but was unavailable resorting myself to avail the Creamy Beef Strips instead. Not bad though! I'll try the unavailable dish in one of their nearby branch some other time.
